Digital Penang Sdn Bhd is an agency under the State of Penang that was founded in April 2020, created to accelerate efforts in pursuing opportunities in the Digital Economy, moving the state into a Digital Society and nurturing the growth of Digital Innovation.

Digital Penang leads the way of digital transformation by utilizing technology to embrace change and lead the state leap into the digital future.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown, the global lockdown became our new reality. The digital transformation is aligned to the four pillars of the Penang2030 plan under Governance, Economy, Community and Infrastructure to enable and realise the vision of a “A Family-Focused Green and Smart State that Inspires the Nation“.
